Yep, I’m calling BS on the root cause approach 📣

After working with so many people wanting to improve their health, I’ve come to realise that feeling optimal doesn’t actually have much to do with FiNdInG tHe RoOt CaUsE.

Of course, you want to explore why you’re experiencing certain symptoms (like low energy or weight gain) and maybe even test for nutrient deficiencies or potential imbalances...

But without clarity on how your body is set up at a genetic level, you’ll get a temporary “fix” without optimising the system that caused the issue in the first place.

Eat. For. Your. Genes. (Or in this case, drink)

The CYP1A2 gene produces an enzyme that’s main function is to break down caffeine in the body and you can either be fast or slow:

☕️ For slow metabolisers, the breakdown of caffeine in your body takes time and can put you at greater risk for high blood pressure and heart attacks if your consumption is more than 200mg per day.

☕️ But if you’re a fast metaboliser (like me!), your body excretes the caffeine so effectively that the beneficial compounds in your coffee such as polyphenols can work wonders on your cardiovascular system actually protecting you from high blood pressure and heart attacks

So ignore the noise 🙅🏼‍♀️ it’s all one-size-fits-all health advice but you my friend are as unique as a snowflake
